Repro Map Scale in Case

This is a postwar west German made measuring device for maps. IT was likely made for export as it has both kilometers and miles. You just run the little wheel along your route on the map and the dial will tell you how far it is, based on the scale of your map. It is about 3' long. The case is marked West Germany
