Adler Drogerie Hair Oil Haaröl Bottle

Sold
$8.00 —

Description

Original Haaröl label from the Adler-Drogerie attached to a new glass bottle with a Bakelite lid. The bottle is sold empty. This particular drug store was located in Fechenheim, a district of Frankfurt a.M. This is the period equivalent of buying a store brand product; while there were many name-brand hair products available in Germany before and during the war many people would have bought items like this produced by small local drug stores and bottled and labeled in house. This is a very nice heavy weight 60ml glass bottle with a modern Bakelite cap. The bottle is pocket sized and measures about 3 1/2' tall and 2 1/8' wide. The labels are original and show some staining from age. The label position may vary slightly. The price is for one EMPTY bottle. You can fill it with whatever hair oil you prefer. The example in the photo is filled with olive oil which is actually a decent hair oil that provides a light easy to wash out hold with a wet look shine. To fill the bottle use a funnel and cover the label with some tape (use a slip of paper to make sure the tape doesn't stick to the label and damage it).
