Period German Bakelite Stapler

This is a period appropriate German stapler in working order. The metal shows wear and corrosion, the Bakelite is in good condition. The style of this stapler looks a little more post war, but it is really difficult to say for sure. I have noticed that the 1930's introduced many changes to look of office equipment but I am not sure when this form of stapler came out. Often times things that look post war turn out to have roots in the 30's but didn't really become common until after the war. The bottom measures about 5 1/2'.
