Weisse Garde Box

Description

Original or possibly post-war Weisse Garde 10 (cigarillo or maybe cookie) box made from cardboard. It is in very good shape. It measures 3 1/2' by just under 2 1/2' and 3/4' deep. There is some debate on what this box would have contained, cigars or cookies. I would normally say cigars as that seems apparent but, at the same time, the argument for cookies is also quite strong as none of these boxes seem to ever have had a tax stamp which is a near impossibility for anything tobacco related. The language on the box could easily be either: light and agreeable (or wholesome) or it can also be read as light and digestible. Since the word's correct translation is largely based on context, it really can go either way.Regardless, it is a great little box in good condition and perfect for whatever you choose to store in it.
