Original Bicycle Grenade Box

Original 1943 dated bicycle grenade carrying box. It also holds a substantial amount of beer in a pinch. Just sayin'. This one is in overall good condition with relatively minor wear, you could oil it and leave it as is or I suppose you could restore it though it does have a lot of original paint. Someone did drill 3 holes in it near the latch, one is in the latch. I'm sure this was done to wire the latch shut. It is missing the two top pieces of the bracket and the mounting bolts but these are relatively simple pieces to recreate for flat stock. A very desirable bike or truppenfahrrad accessory.
