Original Batschari Krone 24 Cigarette Tin

Original tin for 24 cigarettes. There are remnants of the tax seal on the back. The tin is little dirty and worn with several scratches and marks. It appears to have maybe been used to hold artists paints at one time? It measures about 4 1/2' by 2 3/4'.
