DAK First Pattern Pith Helmet

This is an original first pattern pith helmet size 57 complete with shields, chin strap, and British goggles which were very popular in the German Army. The overall condition is good, with no dents and only minor fading and wear (which actually provides this helmet with a little more character). The chinstrap shows some cracking and appears to be broken very near the base on one side and is now held in place by a pin. The liner has some wear but is soft and supple. Marked 1942. All in all, a very nice display piece.
