Wehrmacht Lightweight Combat Y-straps 1943

Wehrmacht Lightweight Combat Y-straps (Koppeltraggestell), as also issued to Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Cavalry troops. The combat Y-straps were designed to assist in distributing the weight of the equipment carried on the load bearing waist belt to the shoulders. This type of combat y-straps was to be used by Wehrmacht (Heer) Cavalry troops and/or Luftwaffe personnel. After an order (Vfg.v.17.6.1943, LV 43,Nr.1217) dated 17 june 1943 these Y-straps were only to be worn by personnel in the LW-Felddivisionen, Paratrooper units or 'Hermann Göring' Division. In some occasions these Y-straps were issued to Kriegsmarine troops as well. The straps are nicely maker marked by the company 'Fr. Offermann & Söhne' from Bernsberg and dated 1943. Nice original lightweight y-straps in very good, mint and unissued, condition!
