Japanese WWII 5 Place Ribbon Bar, Original Aluminum Mounting Bar

Original era manufacture. Here is an instance where the mounting bar is of more importance than the ribbons themselves. Aluminum 5-place mounting for for five, full size Japanese medals. Currently they display five WWII era ribbons which have been decorated with small brass stars. Fantasy items like this were assembled in immediate postwar Japan, in order to make them more attractive as souvenirs for GI's and Sailors. Measures 6.5 inches in length.
