Original period photography. A very clear image of a seated Japanese soldier from the late Meiji era. On his shoulders he wears the rank of a Superior Private, and on his collars the numbers 52. On his left chest can be seen Order of the Rising Sun 8th Class, a campaign medal, Red Cross donation medal and a Marksmanship Badge. Excellent detail, nice to display with your Japanese medals.
