Japanese WWII Patriotic Postcard, Hybrid Aircraft Carrier-Battleship Hyuga

Original period manufacture. Completed as a battleship in 1918, she provided escort service on the Pearl Harbor mission. In mid-1942 she and her sister ship Ise were converted into hybrid aircraft carrier/battleships. She has the dubious distinction of being the last battleship to have been sunk in WWII. Attacked by US Navy aircraft in July 1945 she was sunk in Kure harbor. She was raised and scrapped in 1947.
