Japanese WWII Army Steel Helmet, Near Complete, Restoration Project

Original era manufacture. This helmet came with many of the other Japanese items we are listing on our site today; standard Type 30 helmet with nearly all of the original paint remaining on the shell, including the white painted character on the inside denoting size large.The star is missing however the prongs remain in the shell, and the outline of the star is visible on the exterior paint. The chinstrap is nearly intact, cut on one side, likely to remove it from a soldier who no longer needed it. The pigskin liner is also present, however the liner band has dried from age and broken in several places.All in all it is an honest, un-messed with example, needing a little TLC to put it right.
