German Imperial Era, Chinese Contract 1881 Rifle Dress Bayonet, WKC

Original era manufacture. A fine quality, German made dress type bayonet, made for the Chinese. Chrome finish blade measuring just over 10 inches in length, with the WKC logo on the ricasso.Chrome finish to the guard and pommel, simple wooden grips secured by two steel rivets. Black leather bodied scabbard with chrome finished metal fittings. WWI dated black leather frog in fair condition showing a split in the leather above the stud.See page 97, figure 115, Bayonets of the World by Paul Kiesling for a similar example, but with a muzzle ring.
