Original era manufacture. Portugal M1886 Styer bayonet and scabbard for the Kropatschek rifle.Polished steel blade measuring 18.5 inches in length, clean, no issues beyond some light staining, Styer 1886 marked on the spine.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish wood grips displaying normal age and wear. Steel patina finish scabbard with scattered shallow denting on its surface, quite minor.The blade sticks in the scabbard a bit, and you have to insert the blade quickly to have the guard seat against the scabbard throat properly. Likely some old grease, or cosmoline inside the scabbard making it stick.
