German WWII Hitler Youth Knife & Scabbard, RZM M2, 1938 Emil Voos

Original period manufacture.A clean example, remaining fairly complete. Typical of the HJknives, in that as they were worn by children, they often present a hard-used condition...this one is in nice condition.The blade retains its proper configuration, with the makers RZM code, M7/2 (Emil Voos, Solingen), found on the reverse ricasso, and the date of 1938. The blade shows evidence of a cleaning and polish, with remnants of old staining visible. The guard and pommel showwear to the plated finish, but again, no pittingto the surface. Sound black plastic grips with an intact HJ enameled emblem.The steel scabbard matches the overall condition of the knife, with most of the black painted finish remaining on the front of the scabbard and on the reverse.The leather belt loop and pommel strap are sound.
