German WWII Political Pattern Canteen and Cover, ESB 38

Original era manufacture. WWI style canteen as used by Political formations of the NSDAP prior to WWII. Maker marked on the neck ESB. Black leather suspension harness, with some mothing to the brown wool cover. This pattern never had a cup, a separate, beaker style drinking cup was carried in the breadbag.
