German WWII Heer Officers Sword, Richard Herder Mfg, Lion Head Pommel

Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 31 inches in length, clear Herder trademark on the reverse of the blade. Straight and true with no corrosion issues. Gilded aluminum lion head guard with red glass eyes. Minor finish wear on the pommel and back strap. Black plastic wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. The blade are tight, no rattling. Black painted steel scabbard with both throat screws in place. Original paint, dent free.
