Original period manufacture. Aluminum bodied canteen and black painted cap, which is secured to the body by a linked chain. Pale green canvas covering showing wear to the surface and open spots showing the canteen body beneath. Pale green canvas shoulder strap looped through canvas tabs on the body, with a scorched cut on one side as shown.
