German WWII Heer Officers Sword, Eickhorn Field Marshall Series, Scharnhorst 1706

Original period manufacture. Chrome steel blade measuring 33.5 inches in length, straight and true with a high polish finish. Original leather bumper at the base of the blade, DRP stamped on the underside of the guard. Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso. Gilded aluminum grip with a leopard head pattern pommel set with red glass eyes. Black composition grip bound with triple strand wire. Scattered scuffing and bubbling to the metal surface of the guard. Black painted steel scabbard, dent free, mix of original paint (80%) and surface corrosion, missing both of the scabbard throat screws.
