Edwardian 5th Royal Irish Lancers Lance Cap Plate & Plume.

A scarce brass other ranks lance cap plate for the 5th Royal Irish Lancers used from 1901 to 1922 although this one has the Boer war battle honours added so it will date around 1905 onwards. It comes with its green horsehair plume with treaded base. Both pieces are in excellent original condition, the Lance plate has only one of its original screw nuts on the back. plate measures 9.25 x 5 inches high and the plume is around 18 inches long.
