At the time of the compilation of the returns for the 1921 National Census for England and Wales (June 1921), Arthur is recorded as being 18 years & 3 months of age and serving as a Rifleman with 2nd Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps, which was then stationed in Ireland, during the last year prior to Ireland gaining its independence. The Census Return being signed and dated 20 June 1921, at The Courthouse, Monaghan, Co Monaghan, Ireland. By the time of the compilation of the National Register for England & Wales in 1939, Arthur is recorded employed as an Internal Transit Clerk. C.S. (Civil Service) at a War Department Outstation, and under the remarks column it shows him as an Army Pensioner 19 years service. Serg't King's Royal R.C. 6840532. In 1939 Arthur was residing with his wife Dorothy Drury at their residence located at, 105 Axminster Road, Upper Holloway, Islington, London. Arthur Drury died on, 4 September 1961, and at the time of his death had been residing at, 2 Fairholme Avenue, Gidea Park. Romford, Essex.
