Sundstrom)Wounded-in-Action: Corporal Henry Benjamin Sundstrom First City / Cape Town Highlanders Regiment was 'Wounded-in-Action' at Mout Staco, Italy on 22 October 1944 (service papers refer). At the time the FC / CTH Regiment was serving under higher formation 6th South African Armoured DivisionMedals Verification: All 6 x medals confirmed as entitled and issued as recorded in the recipients extant service papers. His medals were sent to him, 9 June 1952Henry Benjamin Sundstrom, was a native of Beaufort West, Transvaal, South Africa, where he was born on 16 January 1922. Henry served in the below following regiments 1939-45:- 2nd Mounted Rifles: 11 September 1940 - February 1941 (Union of South Africa)- 2nd Armoured Cars: February 1941 - December 1942 (Union of South Africa)- Seaward Defence Force: 22 January 1942 - December 1942 (Union of South Africa)- 2nd Armoured Cars Regiment: 20 December 1942 - 1 July 1943 (Egypt)- First City / Cape Town Highlanders Regiment: July 1943 - April 1945 (Egypt & Italy)- General Service Corps: April 1945 -1946 (Union of South AfricaMutinied: While serving in Egypt, Sundstrom mutinied on 11 May 1943, and was given a 1 year 'Detention' on 17 May 1943. He was however released from his detention, 15 August 1943. Sundstrom embarked for Italy on 15 April 1944 and was wounded on .22 October 1944 at Mount Stanco, and was later emplaned for South Africa on 17 April 1945. Sundstrom was discharged on 14 March 1946 and his medals were sent to him on 9 June 1952Sold together with photocopied hard-copy service papers confirming all details and medals listed aboveThe medals mounted in the swing-style, and as worn by the veteran recipient.
