WW2, British, 2 Gallon Water 'Can'.

Available
£35.00

Description

The standard liquid carrying container for the British Army during WW2 was the 2 gallon can made from pressed steel. Often called POW cans short for Petrol-Oil-Water they were of a simple metal box design with a corner 'stopper' and flat, pressed steel handle to the top. This lovely example has a hand painted 'W' to the front with a 'Shell' brass stopper to the top corner.A fantastic item for vintage campers or re-enactors who wish to 'keep it real'. We have other items that would accompany this to enhance that vintage feel.
