Description

Well this example would appear to be in untouched condition including its WW2 pattern web frog. The Wilkinson and 16 dated blade has a good amount of its factory finish with the tip having a slight dent, perhaps dropped. Cutting edge has had a slight sharpening, no dinks . The cross guard and pommel again with most of its dark factory finish and some surface bleed, top fixing button tight but working. Both wooden slab grips are free from chips or dents. The leather scabbard has tight stitching and some faint stamps. Metal fittings have a good amount of surface bleed and as seen the WW2 frog has never been off this example since the end of the war, its dirty with some faint stamps. In my opinion the whole bayonet and fittings would clean up id wishing but im sure by now you know i really like finding untouched examples and leave them as i find them. This and the WW1 Metford just listed came to me at my local flee market from a lady who found them in her now deceased grandfathers house.NOT FOR SALE TO UNDER 18'S AND UK ONLY. PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED!
