A well used example with some moth nips evident from the photos provided, im going to say its in untouched condition including the red hackle behind the cap badge, lots of it now part of the cap material itself. The tails have been replaced, not surprising as they would have been removed during use in WW1. The replacement tails in my opinion are period replacement and im sure are silk, please check the photos folks. The inside lining system is complete if not some what used with lots of grease and verdigris around not only the pin holding the cap badge but the safety pins holding the hackle in place. Nice looking piece and would be great for display in my honest opinion.
