French Franco-Prussian War, Bombardment of Strasbourg Medal

Original era manufacture. A very well made medallion measuring 40 mm in width. Produced to honor theBombardment of Strasbourg during the Franco-Prussian War, and made from the copper from the Nave of Strasbourg cathedral which burned during the war.The medallion is complete with its original storage box. The Strasbourg cathedral is 1000 years old, with the spire being completed in 1439.
