WW1 US 33rd Divisional Engineers Brodie Helmet

A WW1 US M17 steel Brodie helmet with yellow cross on black roundel to front for the 33rd Division this sumounting a red castle denoting Engineers.Helmet retains a large proportion of its original rough textured khaki paint with liner & leather chinstrap intact. Underside of shell rim shows a heat lot number of ' 70257' with underside of liner giving date '9-18' ( September 1918.
