WW2 German Pre-War Panzer Officers Peaked Cap

A super looking prewar pink piped Panzer officers peaked cap with early insignia & its original chinstrap.A good quality private purchase cap from around 1937 both national cockade & eagle are of German silver & firmly affixed to the front with high quality tricot wool used in its construction. The silver bullion chinstrap shows some light tarnishing commensurate with the wear to the cap. Underside of the peak has a time encapsulated thumb rubbed area where the officer has taken it on & off of his head repeatedly. A folded up 1935 dated newspaper has been inserted underneath the leather headband for a better fit , I have made no attempt to unroll it . The celluloid sweat shield is still present although any embossed maker details , if there were any, have long gone.Condition of this cap is excellent , a couple of tiny hardly noticeable moth grazes can be found if examined although in no way immediately apparent.
