British War Medal, named to:HON.CAPT.G.P.SEARLEMedal extremely fineGeorge Philip Searle was born in Hastings in 1884.He attested for The Canadian Army Medical Corps on 16th February 1916, rank specified as Honorary Lt and Quartermaster.He worked as a broker in Canada.On 19/08/1918 he was wounded by an aerial bomb,and thrown against a building, causing contusions and concussion, later suffering from shock and hysteria.He was medically discharged on 03/11/1919Scarce Canadian rank, lots of information available on The Canadian Archives.Scarce rank
