British WWII, RAAF, Spitfire Aircraft Type P8 Compass & Transport Box

Original era manufacture. A wonderful precision instrument, which formed part of the operational instruments in the iconic Supermarine Spitfire aircraft of WWII.This is a Royal Australian Air Force marked example, complete with its original wooden transport box. Brass finished casing, with a darkened interior. The compass works properly, with a clear dial and markings.
