A 1941 dated example of the Fire Watcher's or Zuckerman pattern Civilian Protective helmet marked for members of a Fire Watch from the McEwan brewery . Manufactured by Rubery Owen & Co Ltd of Leeds whose intials appear stamped to the inner rim along with the date. A size 7 liner is held by its original bootlace suspension with a bootlace chinstrap. Marked ' McEwan Brewers. ' in white stencilled font to front. Provided with an ' Adjusta ' pattern chinstrap .In well used condition with some areas of wear , denting and corrosion to paint, grubby interior.
