Japanese Meiji Pattern Army EM Canteen

Original era manufacture. An early aluminum bodied canteen developed under the reign of Emperor Meiji and issued up into the 1930's. Cylindrical canteen body with a brown overpaint and remnants of its leather suspension harness and strap. The cork and aluminum stopper remains, good restoration project.
