EK II award document of 'Obergefreiten' Rittmann who served within Panzer Aufklärungs Abt.90 (reconnaissance) of the 10.Pz.Div.The document has no issue location which is very unusual!The document has been signed by 'Generalmajor' and divisional commander Wolfgang Fischer (RK3-6-1940 , DKiG 22-4-1942 , EL 9-12-1942)Fischer stepped on a mine of a badly secured Italian minefield and was killed almost immediatly as he inspected the Mareth defence line on 1-2-1943.Great document!
