WW2 ARP Fire Fighters Goggles (Home Office Model)

Seldom encountered ARP fire fighters blue tinted goggles in their original metal case, this pattern was worn by members of the civil defence whilst tackling ferocious building fires and also the extreme glare from aerial incendiary devices.The goggles are in wonderful condition with only very slight surface rusting/paint loss to the wire frame, the bridge on the hinged lens frame bears the G crown R stamp making them an official Home Office model.The rubber brow pads and the rear sprung head strap are also in excellent condition considering their age, both blue lenses are perfect.The original khaki painted metal case remains solid but has much paint loss to the lid, now with an overall fine pepper rusting/pitting (lower section far better), internally still in excellent condition.Very difficult to source especially in such good condition, will be posted via special delivery.***Sorry UK sale only***
