£185.00

Description

This includes the original bullet pencil correctly monogramed, its original card retainer and the 1915 New Year Card. These items are all originals and not copies. The contents varied depending on your unit and location. The contents here are exactly as given to troops located in the British Isles and is exactly how it came to me. Only those serving overseas received the cigarettes, pipe tobacco, or for non-smokers, boiled sweets (acid tablets) and the photo of HRH or the 1914 Christmas card. The tin itself is approximately 5 inches long by 3.3 inches wide by 1inch deep with a hinged lid. The surface of the lid is decorated with a portrait of Princess Mary and emblems of the Allies. Some slight tarnishing and wear to tin but overall in good condition. Some minor foxing / stains to front of card otherwise in very good condition. Slight tear in bullet pencil retaining card, otherwise in very good condition. Bullet brass some tarnishing but complete with correct monogram and the silver bullet is marked sterling silver. Complete with original short pencil to inside. A pleasing example. Please note on account of the bullet I will only post this item to a UK address.Comm ErYa
