Description

An interwar pocket sized publication in soft card covers, undated, printed by Joseph Johnson of London. Contains the lyrics for circa 50 songs popular at that time with British servicemen. Indexed, but no music scores included but hte lyrics of one song 'The Territorials' was clearly supposed to be sung to the tune of 'Do you Ken John Peel'. All the usual suspects, Men of Harlech, John Brown's Body, Rule Britannia, God Save the King, British Grenadiers, but some interesting ones that sums up service life wonderfully 'Tramp, Tramp, Tramp!'. There is also one written in Welsh. Scarce.Comm FB
