A scarce enamel and gilt brass metal lapel pin brooch badge with original and functional pin fittings (also seen one with a horseshoe buttonhole fitting).Maker marked Walker & Hall Sheffield & Newcastle Upon Tyne. There is some surface scratching and marks to the enamel but it is intact. The light blue has overrun slightly during the firing process otherwise in good condition.The Institution of Naval Architects on 16 January 1860 to be a learned society through which shipbuilders, marine engineers, ship owners, ship repairers and mariners could share their practical and scientific experience for the common good.Comm FB
