Indian Army - 3rd Battalion, 15th Punjab Regiment White Metal Cap Badge, pre 1947

A cast white metal example, which appears to have been silver plated with two original loops (pinched but functional) to the reverse. An attractive badge, circa 37mm tall. King's crown. As worn from 1922 when the 27th Punjabis became the 3rd Battalion,15th Punjab Regiment and wore this badge until circa 1953. At the time of Independence the Regiment was allocated to Pakistan.In 1956, the Regiment merged with the 1st, 14th and 16th Punjab Regiments to become The Punjab Regiment.Comm TeMo
