Royal Engineers Ubique Grenade 1969 gold regimental brooch Garrard & Co London

A superb quality early Elizabeth II period 'Royal Engineers gold and enamel regimental brooch' in the form of a grenade resting on a 'Ubique' scroll inlaid with blue enamel and mounted on a slender bar; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1969 and maker's details 'G & Co Ld' (Garrard & Co, London) the Crown Jewellers. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, small defect to the enamel scroll only visible with a glass.Width approx 51mm.Height 23mm.
