A good original later smaller pattern 'British Overseas Airways Corporation Junior Jet Club pilots wing gilt and enamel pin badge,' the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Manhattan Products England'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, safety roller catch in good working order, no damage to the enamel. Width approx 34mm. The Junior Jet Club was formed on March 26th 1957. Every young passenger embarking on a B.O.A.C. aircraft was given a blue and gilt badge and a log-book in which to keep a record of all mileage flown. Mileage and flying times were entered in the log-book by the flight crew of the aircraft and certificates awarded for 25,000, 50,000, 75,000 and 100,000 miles.
