Description

A good original Edward VIII souvenir silver plated aluminium alloy medal, produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place. The obverse with Crowned bust right and title 'H.M.King Edward VIII'. The reverse with 'British Made' and embossed with the City of London Arms 'Ascended Throne 20th Jan 1936' scroll below and inscribed 'To Commemorate The Coronation of King Edward VIII at Westminster Abbey 12th May 1937'. Very good condition, complete with original red, white and blue ribbon and safety pin fitting, minimal wear.Diameter approx 38mm.
