The Royal Society of St.George of England Medal

A scarce original circa 1930's period full size 'The Royal Society of St.George of England Order'; fine quality ornate unmarked gilt and enamel example, the centre with an applied 'Saint George and the Dragon' device, suspended from blue enamel suspension title bar by a cream silk ribbon with Red Cross and gilt rose. Very good condition, complete with single pin fitting, no stress marks or defects to the enamel.Height approx 115mm.The Royal Society of St George was founded in 1894, with Queen Victoria as first Royal Patron, followed by the patronage of every reigning monarch upto Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
