A rare original Second World War period 'Napier Air Raid Precaution numbered badge', large chromium plated enamel example inscribed 'A.R.P. Napiers For the Ministry of Aircraft Production'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St. Birmingham' and with official low issue number '408'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no enamel loss, very minor surface scratches.Height approx 29mm.D. Napier and Son was one of the most important British aircraft engine and car manufacturers in the early to mid 20th Century.
