WW1 County Borough of Southend On Sea Special Constabulary police badge

A good original First World War period 'County Borough of Southend-on-Sea Special Constabulary gilt and enamel badge, bearing the Borough Council Coat of Arms' with motto 'Per Mare Per Ecclesiam' (Through the sea through the Church). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.Height approx 29mm.
