A good original 'City of London Police Reserve Special Constable lapel badge'; gilt red enamel title circlet 'City of London Coat of Arms' bearing the Latin motto 'Domine Dirige Nos' (Lord, direct us), to voided centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Diameter approx 32mm.
