A scarce original circa 1948 to pre 1953 period 'Royal Marine Forces Volunteer Reserve lapel badge' bearing a King George VI Crown. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Height approx 31mm.'The Royal Marine Forces Volunteer Reserve' was formed in 1948 with the Commando Wing and the Sea Service Wing and was the forerunner of the 'Royal Marines Reserve' the title change to the latter in 1966.
