Two NFS Helmets - Numbers 1 & 2.

Two National Fire Service leaders helmets for service regions 1 (Gosforth) and 2 (Middlesbrough). Both helmets with dark brown paint with normal age wear, with a red painted leader's stripe. NFS insignia and region number to the front. No paint on the aluminium rim for No 1, which has no legible size or date stamps. Size 71/4 liner and part-elasticated chinstrap. No 2 has a JSS maker's stamp and a 1939 date on the shell. Size 71/4 liner with BMB stamp and 1939 date. Crown pad present. serial 360286 painted on rim. Part elasticated chinstrap.
