WW1 1914 Mons star trio with original August to November 1914 Clasp, GVR 1st type army LS&GC & Belgian Croix-De-GuerreTo- 14904.L-CPL.W.J.CUMMINGS.R.E (1914 Star)14909.T-SJT.W.J.CUMMINGS.R.E (WW1 Pair)1851920.WO.CL.11.W.J.CUMMINGS.R.E (LS&GC)William James Cummings enlisted in to the Royal Engineers in London 14-9-1905 & first landed in France 18-8-1914 serving with the 17th Company. He was awarded the Belgian Croix-De-Guerre for services in Flanders in the London gazette 12-4-1918 & continued to service in France until September of 1919 when he returned to the UK.he was awarded his LS&GC in army order 136 of 1924 & eventually left the army in 1936 to take up a civil defence position in Huddersfield. He was the son of Yorkshire regiment soldier & was born in India & enlisted in Ireland due to his fathers military postings. He settled in Huddersfield & died in the town in 1977 age 86.GVF or better & Complete with a large archive of original documents & photographs that include images of the recipient in uniform wearing his medals, soldiers small book, certificate of service, letters, birth & death certificates & a number of other original documents. Along with a hallmarked sterling silver football medal that is named to the recipient & dated 1923-24. Along with MIC & London gazette details.
