French, German Mfg (PDL) M1842 Sabre Bayonet

Original era manufacture. Massive sword bayonet with a brass grip and steel guard. The yatagahn blade measures 22.5 inches in length with faint issue marks on its spine. Both the blade and guard display a very dark steel patina with the muzzle ring portion of the guard bent back a bit. Lock button and spring work properly, overall showing age and wear.
