French M1874 Gras Bayonet, Matching Numbers

Original era manufacture. A clean example with a polished steel blade showing an 1879 date on the spine. The scabbard is free of dents and retains most of its original blue finish with some light surface corrosion near the tip. The blade shows a decent polish beneath the crud (we haven't tried to clean it) and runs true and straight. Decent wood grips with a nice patina to the brass pommel.
